A Christmas Proposal
by
Jessica Lemmon
Four Christmas, Magical Stars!!
****
We've all read the standard marriage of convenience story
lines where both parties need something and by marrying each other they gain
what they need. But this time we have a
different twist. We first meet Stefanie Ferguson
in book one of the Dallas Billionaires Club series by Jessica Lemmon. She has obviously caused some commotion but
we are unsure what it is. Now we finally
get to the youngest Ferguson child, and younger sister to Chase Ferguson, Mayor
of Dallas, and his brother Zach Ferguson, to understand where all the fiasco
began that was eluded to in book one,
Lone Star Lovers.
Emmett Keaton is in charge of security for the Ferguson
family and good friend of Chase since college days. However,
he and Stefanie seem to clash at every turn and have since Emmett came
to work for Chase. Now he’s been
assigned to follow her to San Antonio (well really it’s Harlington, but that’s
part of the story) where she is supposedly going to party with some
friends. He’s irritated that he has to
babysit the flighty little sister to Chase, but he takes his job seriously and
off he goes with Stefanie.
But on this trip he sees a different side of Stefanie. A more mature, carrying individual, who will
go to great lengths, just as he would, to protect her family. And in doing so, she now needs Emmett’s help
or involvement so to speak. It’s
Christmas, a holiday that Stefanie loves, and right now she needs a Christmas
wedding to get herself out of trouble and protect her brother Chase in his
re-election bid. So, Emmett being the
loyal employee agrees to help Stefanie out and marry her.
What these two didn’t count on was their mutual
attraction. They say there is a fine
love between love and hate. Little did
these two know that they fall more on the love side of that line than they do
the hate side.
I have been reading Jessica Lemmon since she first started
writing and have loved every single thing she has written. She is clever at storytelling and
incorporates unique twists and turns in her books. Her skill at writing dialogue between
characters in unparalleled. It has made
me cry, laugh, weep, cheer, and whoop for joy.
A Christmas Proposition has all those elements. Now this series does not have the depth some
of her other series or books have had, and I kind of miss that, but it’s still
a clever book with a happy ending and our main characters learning what love is
really about. Something this time of
year we can all appreciate. This book is
an easy read, and something to cozy up by the fire this holiday season to read
when the snow starts to fly.

Jessica is a social media junkie who loves to hear from readers.
It is an informative post.
