Calvin......... this guy is so broken, I truly didn't think there would be anyway to piece him back together, but his closest friend, Eric is determined to help guide Calvin through the nightmare he so desperately wants to leave behind.
Calvin and Eric are band mates and friends, but Eric, who is outwardly gay, wants more, but there is a huge wall that Calvin has built around himself, that separates the two of them from pushing through to get that happily ever after.
Kissing Eric, that was what I needed. My mind has quieted and my desire for him is taking over. Pushing aside my demons. He is my talisman and he is the one I know that will get me through this.
Even with all the cards stacked against them, Eric had faith that Calvin would finally battle his demons.
Changing what defines me has always been a goal for me, but I never in my wildest dreams imagined that it would be Eric who would be that true mark of hope, desire, desperation and love. I never imagined he'd be the one to change me, to help redefine me, to fight the need to prove to me that he is what I want, what I need and who I trust most.
This story deals with a heavy subject matter known as Conversion therapy. I've heard about this and while reading this story, it made me so angry to know that there are people out there that think it's an acceptable form of treatment. I do NOT believe in this AT ALL!!!!!!
I won't rant about this treatment method because it will only make me more angry, and that's not what this story is about.
This is a story about overcoming stigmas. Its about coming full circle to accepting who you are and living the life you are meant to live. It's about love and friendships and fighting for what you want.
