This book has all the elements to be an engaging read. The MCs are both strong and have a true sense of who they are. Aiden is from a family which is recovering from many losses; the mother from cancer, a sister in law's death and his own broken marriage. On top of all of that suffering, he made the mistake in giving up on a budding love; a love with Sadie.
Sadie has still not recovered from Aiden's rejection of her. Part of the reason is rejection has happened to her one too many times. She was engaged and in the process of arranging all that a girl does to have that perfect wedding, only to find out the man she is to marry has decided to marry her baby sister instead. To add insult to injury, her parents had approved of the switch before Sadie knew she was being dumped.
This tale tells of two people who must learn to trust their instincts; learn that time is precious and there are no guarantees in life. The questions are asked and answered in an entertaining way with lots of cat and mouse sexy times between Aiden and Sadie.
This is a stand alone read with a heartfelt HEA.
