Bet The Farm by Staci Hart

As a tried and true Staci Hart Addict, this book delivered on many levels for me. It had a setup that was very believable. It had two people, Olivia and Jake, who loved the one person who meant the most to them. This love for a man who they respected, who loved them unconditionally, who taught them the most important things, was the one unifying thing that brought them together every time.

Frank, who was Olivia's grandfather, was the type of man who others wished they were.
He ran his dairy farm, held up, and carried on after his wife passed and almost lost it when his son with his wife was taken in a horrible accident. It was Olivia who came to the farm and kept him going along with Jake, a young man who needed exactly what Frank was offering, a place to make his home.

We learn of Frank's passing and leaving the farm to both, Jake and Olivia. They have history to overcome, her leaving the farm and being a city gal with Jake a farmer through and through.

This is a story about more than Jake and Olivia battling for the farm. There is a test of trust, an understanding of how progress is important, and the willingness to be open to each other.

All of this happens with humor, banter, sexy times, heart, life lessons, and amazing secondary characters. Well done, Ms. Hart.

Staci has been a lot of things up to this point in her life: a graphic designer, an entrepreneur, a seamstress, a clothing and handbag designer, a waitress. Can’t forget that. She’s also been a mom to three little girls who are sure to grow up to break a number of hearts. She’s been a wife, even though she’s certainly not the cleanest, nor is she the best cook. She’s also super, duper fun at a party--especially if she’s been drinking whiskey--and her favorite word starts with f and ends with k.

From roots in Houston to a seven year stint in Southern California, Staci and her family ended up settling somewhere in between and equally north in Denver, where snow is magic and the mountains have become home. When she’s not writing, she’s reading, gaming, or designing graphics.
