Emily Goodwin's Backup Plan took two people who knew each other since school, gave them a sweet friendship, allowed a hiccup during their college days, and then...brought them back together to rediscover how good they were together.

These characters were fully formed, had real-life experiences but bad timing when it came to the love they had for each other. There were additional characters woven throughout to keep us interested for more.

This had all the elements for an enjoyable read...but it is important to share, not everything is set in stone at the end...yes, as I read, a cliffy took me by surprise.

The great news is the next book is coming hopefully sooner rather than later. 
 A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
