If you are looking for something to lift your spirits, to take you out of yourself right now, THIS IS THE BOOK. I loved the blurb and idea so it was a no brainer to click and get it. It read fast because it was fun. It wasn't too out there/over the top hilarious, it was just right for me. There was enough for me to sit, not do what my life said needing doing and enjoy myself silly.
Now, what is important to know about this book is the problems or hiccups for these two main characters are not earthshattering.
You will not be feeling great angst. Money issues, medical issues, anything that may normally happen to regular people are not part of this tale.

But this story does highlight a specific issue more normal in this world of Influencers and people of great public interest. Not everything is as it appears...the visuals that show up regularly on everyone's pages on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter may not tell the real story.

Influencers have come forward and shared the pressure to show a perfect life and need for constant content 24/7. People who have made huge technical discoveries become wanted not for who they are but for what they can do...for their talents and how they can be used by others if they are not careful.

So there is that. And if you are one of those people, with MILLIONS of followers watching your vlogs, listening to your podcasts, watching your channels on Youtube, and watching every post you do on Instagram, it can become more than you ever thought...and maybe you might lose your self.

With being the geeky tech guy who unfortunately has a crappy relationship with his dad and stepmother/family that too can be hard. It can make you not trust anyone or if you do, they better be part of the very inner circle.

Love, no...Parents' relationship taught that lesson, not happening. So this grownup geek learned and only does "fun buddies" and is very explicit that there is no chance for more from the start.

Now how these people are part of this book is what you will learn if you read it. And read it you should. Slow Burn, Smart Story, Fun Ying/Yang, and Smart Life Advice, It's all here. Enjoy.

About Claudia Y. Burgoa

Claudia is an award-winning, USA Today bestselling author.
She writes alluring, thrilling stories about complicated women and the men who take their breath away.
She lives in Denver, Colorado with her husband and her youngest two children. She has a sweet Bichon, Macey, who thinks she's the ruler of the house. She's only partially right.
When Claudia is not writing, you can find her reading, knitting, or just hanging out with her family. At night, I like to binge-watch shows with his equal geek husband.
