Cursed Heart
(Book 2, The Siren Coven)
by
Kim Loraine
Four, I'll
love you till the end of time, Stars!!
****
What happens
with the ethereal collides with the mystical; when heaven and hell come
together in purgatory; and a fallen angel and a witch come together in an
unpredictable love that spans the ages?
You have Kim Loraine’s latest installment in her Siren Coven series,
Cursed Heart.
Cursed Heart
picks up right where Eternal Desire (Book 1 in the Siren Coven series) left
off. We have “sister” witch Izzy happily
in a relationship with her “beast” Grant, having beaten the curse placed on her
and her “sister” witches a millennia ago.
Unfortunately it still exists for her sisters and they are desperately
trying to figure out how to save themselves from the pattern of dying young and
being reborn, over and over, and over.
But for Helena it seems an end is in sight, just not the one she
wants. This time when she dies she’s
going straight to purgatory to have her afterlife determined if it’s heaven or
hell. Well, she’s been a pretty bitchy
witchy up until now, so I think we can all figure out where she’s headed for
eternity.
Enter
Tamiel, a fallen angel who’s been running with the wrong crowd for quite some
time, but now he’s on the path for redemption and to have the return of his
angel wings. And he’s also on a mission
to convince Helena that they are soulmates, and have been for a thousand
years. He is never far behind where
Helena goes, helping her maneuver this complicated path they are both on.
No one, and
I mean no one, can write paranormal romance/erotica like Kim Loraine. She knows how to weave a tale so filled with
love and lust, so steamy it’s hard to breathe, so sensual you find yourself
fanning yourself so you don’t faint. Her
stories are complicated with clever twists and turns you don’t see coming, leaving
you anxiously waiting for the next installment.
All the
characters from the first book in this series, and even a character from the
Fallen Angel Trilogy are back in this second book. Wonderfully rich, they are characters you
love to love and some you love to hate.
Yes, some questions are answered and some things are explained in book
2, but there still remains one more “sister” witch to save, and I have a
feeling it’s going to be a doozy of a story to tell. Let’s hope we can all wait for Immortal Flame,
the third and final book in this series.
Kim Loraine was raised a Navy brat but spent most of her life growing up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest. A proper Washingtonian, she’s addicted to coffee, doesn’t let a little rain ruin her day, and thinks the sun is a gift from God. When not chasing her three little minions around, Kim spends her time writing, reading, and binge watching Doctor Who.
