When I first started this, I didn't immediately connect with Carter. I actually found him repulsive and almost stopped reading...but the more I invested in the book, the more I felt myself warming up to him. Alexa definitely stole the story and if it wasn't for her, Carter would have been one big JERK!
Ms. King did a wonderful job of getting the reader to hate Carter and then turn him into someone you could root for to win the girl.
I am so happy that I kept reading and didn't give up on Carter and Alexa's story!
