I
know when I start a Tia Louise book, I am in good, no great hands. She
will take me on a journey that has intricate layers, sensual characters
and a full on romance with a capital R. When We Touch is a perfect
example of the type of writing she does. I started this in the late afternoon and as the time went by... for the life of me, I couldn't stop reading it. It had it all... young love, so intense and real... it made you remember your first time and how overwhelming that type of love is...It had the family "powers that be" cause all kinds of misdirection... which impacted these two when they were their most vulnerable.
You then have the perfect second chance situation...a look, a touch and everything that they were when they were young and fresh... rises up from their emotional ashes and reignites them to burn brighter than ever before.
So, this has all the makings of a modern day Romeo and Juliet plus any other complex love story Shakespeare had in his collection. It had it all and to tell you more would not be fair...because then you wouldn't have the type of read where you just have to keep reading till the end...
A gifted copy was provided by author/publisher for an honest review.
Tia Louise is a former journalist, world-traveler, and collector of beautiful men (who inspire ALL of her stories... *wink*)---turned wife, mommy, and novelist.
It's possible she has a slight truffle addiction. And she will never look at a family restroom the same way again.
