Life can hand you many challenges and in Emily Goodwin's Hot Mess, Lexi has been given  a doozy. How else could you describe the problem she finds herself having...

Her life is full with raising two daughters on her own and working full time... she has no need for romantic complications. She already has come to the conclusion she deserves a love that is real and true.... in her mind she has her candidate...her boss.

Now Lexi knows that is not the best situation but she has told herself... if it is meant to happen... then it will...

Luke has been re-evaluating his own life. Things have not been working out where he was living... and he has decided to move back to New York. It could be a good move...he will have a decent place to live... only problem, it comes with a brother who thinks he can't do anything right.

Lexi and Luke cross paths during a moment when Lexi has decided to cut loose, go to a bar with friends and have herself a little fun...and the bartender is her prime candidate...

Naturally Luke is the chosen man and boy, these two have a stronger connection then a one night stand...In fact, Luke is thinking this is something worth pursuing...and Lexi thinks maybe she should see what may develop...

The only hiccup in their possible happiness...Luke's brother...It turns out he is Lexi's fantasy perfect man...and Boss!

This had all the makings of a captivating read and leads us down the rabbit hole of wanting to know exactly how all of this plays out...Cliffy Alert.
Good news; the next book will be out soon so you won't be waiting for too long.
