My Thoughts - Story
Wow…just freakin’ awesome!
This book blew me away and then some. The tortured souls of Sparrow and Troy mesmerized me from the very first page. The author dives right in to psyche of Troy but keeps you guessing on why Sparrow is so important.
This is not just a romance – this is a spiritual and psychological journey of two damaged people who find their way to accept who they are and what their future holds for them.
I especially love the way Ms. Shen wrote Troy’s character. So tortured – so damaged and so hateful but with her development of his character….the reader enjoys his walk to better things.

Sparrow is just a pawn in the illegal world – her mother and father are the reason why she is now held captive as Troy’s wife. Being kept in the dark about why she was chosen for his wife, she tries her best to make the most of her new life as “The Fixer’s” wife.
Instead, she is thrown into a dangerous life where she learns to stand up for herself and possibly fall in love.
Follow the journey of Troy and Sparrow as they each learn what love is and how, with the help of each other, they can find happiness in a world so dark.
