Synopsis

Chaos never felt this good!

Warning: Adult only! This novel is Dark, Twisted, and really Sexy! Absolutely not for the weak at heart.

Blurb: Rain’s been washing blood off her hands for far too long. After five years, she accepts the fact that she’s still a little crazy but feels as if she’s finally gotten it all under control.

Parties, drugs, and sex flood Jude’s life, and music and scandal run through his veins. He’s the son of a rock god and grandson of a jazz legend. It's no surprise that his own star is on the rise, and with so many groupies vying for his attention, his childhood best friend Rain keeps him anchored in reality.

She’s nothing like him—an art student with no idea of her own beauty, who would rather curl up with a sci-fi novel than party in the spotlight. Everything changes when she asks him for a unique favor: she wants him to take her virginity. He’s more than willing to oblige, but things get complicated when his pervy father gets involved. Meanwhile, intense feelings rise to the surface, ones neither Rain or Jude are prepared to deal with.

"I would take my time and go so slow so you could
feel every push and pull within you, each lick,
and every caress.  I'd set your skin on fire."

If their relationship has any chance for survival, she must finally confront the demons of her past, and he must face the addictions of the present. When the smoke clears, will they find that sex between best friends was a good idea, or will they discover they had been Flirting With Chaos the entire time?

Review

I'm not exactly sure how to review this book - I LOVED the book and the story behind it, but I spent most of the book soooo pissed off at Jude, I couldn't get past the asshole that he was.

This book has some dark moments but it's not bad - there are a few taboo scenarios that will either have you cringing or creaming your panties!

The only thing I would change about this book is more of a revenge toward Jude - I think maybe Rain should have run further and spent a longer time away from him without him knowing how she felt, but then I can see the author's POV in not letting that happen because Jude would have probably gone in such a downward spiral that he wouldn't have been able to get back up. So, I take that back - Sorry, Kenya! :-)

Damn...I want to say so many things about this book, but I know it will give too much of the story away.....hmmmm? Shit...I want to tell you everything but I know I can't.....so here are the cliff notes.

"Before you're drowning with nothing around to save you."
"If it's not me hurting you, then it'll be Jude."

Rainbow comes from a family where her Dad was part of a band and was best friends with the lead singer, Kaden (Jude's father). Rain is tormented about her past and what she had to witness throughout her childhood and especially one devastating night.

See, Rain had to kill her Dad (*shhh you learn that in the Prologue)

She is still a virgin on her 21st birthday and wants her best friend, Jude to take it especially since she has been secretly in love with him her whole life. There are a few obstacles in the way though...Jude is a man whore and a musician just like his father - he is also her best friend and there is a cock blocker in Jude's house.

"I can see us having a good life one day, if we can
clean up all of the blood from the past."

Jude and Rain are both tortured souls and either they are drowning in each other's problems or drowning in each other's love. Jude can't keep his dick in his pants and pulls away from Rain while she continually gets her heart broken. The biggest problem is that Jude tells Rain they are not a couple and she can be with whoever she wants, but every time a guy gets near her or shows any interest in her whatsoever, Jude flips out......what a freakin' hypocrite he is!

We all know he loves her but is he capable of saving himself from all the drugs, parties, groupies and especially himself?

During all of this, Rain deals with the tragedy from her past. She talks about her mother as if she is still alive, she has night terrors and sees blood all over the place.

She is living with the guilt and torment from her past, but does being around Kaden and Jude help that or does it only make it worse?

Jude and Rain's story is one of tragic love......will there be a HEA?

Wrap Up

This is a story that I can honestly say, I have never read before - we don't just have a tragic love story, but we have torment, friendship, mental illness, PTSD, hot steamy sex, and so much more wrapped into 256 pages!
