Connectivity - Aven Ellis

 **** 4 1/2 Love Connecting Stars ****

Book provided by author in exchange for an honest review.

I just have to say, for this being the author's first book, that this story blew my mind away!  I couldn't get enough of Mary Kate and William.  From MK's klutzy ways to William's cute banter.  This was a love story to top love stories!

I think I have found a new author to follow now and can't wait to see what else is in the works for her.

Mary Kate works at CME (Collective Media Enterprises) as an assistant to the General Manager for TATS (Total Access Total Sports) network.  She hates her job but is so career orientated and has dreams to work her way up to their sister station Beautiful Homes network.

MK comes from a family who puts a major emphasis on women finding a husband and only worrying about how big the wedding is going to be.  MK is the "black sheep" of the family because she doesn't have any time for it.  She finds herself in the middle of an irritating sister and annoying mother while they try and plan a wedding.

In comes Mr. William Cumberland, a British mogul and developer of Connectivity, who just bought out CME and is in the US for the transition.  William catches MK in a precarious position while trying to bind papers and immediately the sparks start flying.  William decides to make MK his personal assistant and moves her up to the same floor as the Beautiful Homes network.

Between tea and scone serving and embarrassing blogs she posts about William, MK starts to break through the wall William has around his heart.  More and more, MK gets him to smile and joke around about things while the two of them start to fall in love.

This is not a Alpha romance or erotica, instead this is a heart-felt beautiful love story where two people learn that work and careers aren't everything.  William is a perfect gentleman who respects MK and her wishes to take things slow.  He isn't the sex craved man but instead a man who built his life around his empire and MK is the first woman he has taken a chance with.

This is not just the gist of the story....we watch William become romantic and loving while all is right in MK's world and her blog is actually getting followers who want to read about her recipes and designs.  MK even gets a chance to write a story for Beautiful Homes.

They are cute, they are real, they are funny and they melt my heart......this is definitely a story worth reading!

You ask about angst??  Well, yes there is a bit of angst but no cheating, no unexpected pregnancies, and no deaths.

*psssttt....and yes, she was named after Mary Kate Olsen :-)

About this Author:

Aven Ellis has been writing fiction since she was sixteen. She studied communications at a large Midwestern university, and after graduation, Aven worked as a reporter for a community newspaper, followed by a stint at a public relations agency.

But writing about city council meetings and restaurant franchises was not as much fun as writing for young women trying to figure out their careers and potential boyfriends. So Aven got herself a job in television that allowed her to write at night. Connectivity is Aven’s debut novel; Waiting For Prince Harry and Chronicles of a Lincoln Park Fashionista (New Adult romantic comedy) will be published next year.

Aven lives in Dallas with her family. When she is not writing, Aven enjoys shopping, cooking, connecting with friends on social media, and watching any show that features Gordon Ramsay.
