Four Super Sexy, Spy Stars!!
****
The one
common thread that all the books in this series is the fact that one of the
main characters always needs a fake fiancée or fake date to appear “legitimate”
in whatever they are doing, whether it is a family get together or a business
dealing. The way they achieve this is
with help from Olivia Danvers who owns a company called The Agency, a low
profile but high class dating service.
Now I know what you are thinking, but this company is on the up and up
and has very strict rules about who they match and how the relationship is to
be handled. Background checks are a
must, and all of that is handled by the Office Manager, Alice Jones. But Alice is tired of sitting behind a desk
just doing research. She wants some
excitement in her life and when an opportunity presents itself for her to be
part of the action and the next person matched, she jumps at it.
Nick
Chambers has come to The Agency looking for a fake fiancée. He needs to look “real.” He’s a PI that is going undercover to
determine if a well-known candy company called the CandyShack has stolen recipes
from a friend of his. But to get into
the inner circle he has to look legit.
He needs to look serious. He
needs a diversion, and that is where Alice comes in. She’s a perfect fit for what Nick
needs…..despite the fact that they shared a hot sizzling kiss the previous night,
before Alice even knew Nick was their next client.
Now,
Rom-Coms aren’t normally my thing, but this had lots of excitement and plenty
of adventures for our main characters.
The chemistry between Alice and Nick is pretty sizzling (like touch your
finger to a hot pan sizzle), but it does take a while for them to really act on
their feelings. They tease, they
tantalize, but both feel compelled to follow the rules of their contract so not
a lot happens till you are at the 60% mark of the book.
Lila Monroe
is at her best in this book. Hilariously
funny at times, then swoon-worthy the next, it will keep any reader engaged
till the end……ready for the next installment in this series.
Combining her love of writing, sex and well-fitted suits, Lila Monroe wrote The Billionaire Bargain. Lila enjoys writing, as it gives her a flexible schedule to spend time with her kids and a wonderful excuse to avoid them. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who strips out of his well-fitted suits nightly.
