Well the conclusion to Lisa Renee Jones’ Dirty Money series, End Game has finally arrived, and not a minute too soon. We were all left hanging at the end of Bad Deeds, when we did not know who was shot….Emily or Derek. Who was going to survive? One of them, none of them, both of them?? And who would you choose if you could choose? The love of Shane’s life, Emily, who has enough skeletons in her closet to set up her own Halloween shop; or his down and dirty, but making a comeback to the good side brother, Derek, who has put the Brandon Enterprises in enough how water to boil all of Denver. A possible tragedy waiting to unfold? And let’s not forget Brandon Senior in treatment for cancer. Where is he in all of this? Dying or in remission? Helping or hurting Brandon Enterprises? Supporting Shane or not? That is something you have to find out for yourself!! And because of that, not a lot more can be said about the book itself.

I will say that in Bad Deeds we had our characters doing a lot of second guessing, but they are back to their ole selves in End Game. Shane is more decisive and seems to have better direction in End Game. He knows what needs to be done and moves forward with the confidence we loved in the first two books (Hard Rules and Damage Control). And quite honestly there were so many issues to resolve I honestly did not know how our author was going to “wrap things up” but with Ms. Jones’ usual finesse and intertwining of story lines and clever writing skill, resolution is achieved…satisfactorily I might add.

So there you have it. Yes, some people could think the ending is a little sappy, but personally I find it to be absolutely perfect and downright sweet. Our characters are going the direction they need to go and doing it smartly. It also gives the reader the satisfaction of seeing our main characters move forward and gain their lives back.

What more can I say? This book is a winner by my definition and I’m sure it will be by your definition as well.
