Love Lessons (Brooklyn #7) by Sarina Bowen

 A Review by Wendy

4.5 So, So, Bowen Fun Stars

This had me from the start as I wanted to be entertained, have fun, have some characters who will eventually get insight into who they are, have sexy times, and allow me to not worry about anything for a while.

Mission Accomplished.

What I love about Sarina Bowen's writing is how she has a plan, we know the plan, and yet...we all can buy into the plan and enjoy it from the first moment to the end.
There isn't any pretending. We know we are going to have two people who may have started off on not the best of terms...and then they will have to interact in some way. Each provides something the other one needs...A win-win for all.

The arc of these interactions, though, causes so much more than anticipated by the people involved. There is always personal growth, some "eye-opening realizations" causing a questioning of assumptions that had been made about the other person.

And oh, the romance...
The way these two embark on "Love Lessons" Is The Best. Fun, Hot, and Sexy.

Of course, there may have been a hiccup or two, a need to have a bit of insecurity but in the end...we get what we want plus way more.

This may seem simple to accomplish...but in execution, not so much. It takes knowing how to make the characters real to the reader, where you feel as if you would be able to "know" them if you run into them on the street. It takes understanding their insecurities, being able to have compassion for mistakes they may have made, or want them to confront their demons and come out the other end victorious. Bowen does that for me every single time.

This for me was Winner-Winner, Chicken Dinner!
