It can only take a moment. The meeting of that person, the one your heart meets, and will never let go. Nothing else will matter if this connection is real. You can come from different walks of life, you can have family telling you no, you can have any force fighting against you...None of that will matter when the bond you formed is tried and true.
Reckless Kiss by Tia Louise allows us to witness this kind of love. The kind of love that runs so deep both people will work towards making whatever they have to make it good for the other. They are a unit over the years, no distance can separate them, no personal conflict can shake them. They are a solid unit so all outside forces trying to tear them apart have no way to succeed in the end.
It is not easy to write these types of love stories. There are too many pitfalls to master. The beauty is Tia Louise managed all of them and I thank her for it. There were strong character arcs, the necessary drama and steam, and the layering needed for an excellent read.
