My Thoughts - Story
When I requested to review this book from NetGalley, I wasn’t aware that this was a second book in the series – so I first had to go back and read Emory’s story in Black Dawn to get the back story of all of the characters.
I have to say that there was so much going on this book and the action was non-stop. This story is a great premise and would definitely make a great show on TV!
In this part of the series, Emory remembers more and more of her past while Brokk has a change of status and part in the story.
I was very impressed with the 2nd book more than the first. Especially because I didn’t feel a connection with the characters as much as I did with this second part of the series. I definitely felt a disconnect with Memphis and wasn’t rooting for him at all with Nyx.
