Be careful what you ask for, because you just might get it!

We’re back into the world of Olivia Danvers, upscale dating service of sorts, who helps with relationship solutions for wealthy clients (in other words, she helps individuals who need a date, a fake fiancée or maybe even a fake spouse for whatever predicament they are in).   Although Olivia is just a secondary character, she is the catalyst for the premise of the story. 

Hot Daddy is the second book in the Billionaire Bachelors series by Lila Monroe.  A “too hot to handle,” sizzling romance of second chances and finding that special person again.  Maybe lightening does strike twice in the same spot, if you are lucky enough.

We first met Olivia in Book One of this series, Very Irresistible Playboy, when our heroine’s (Jules Robinson) roommate, Hallie, was recruited to be a publishing CEO’s date for a major family event.  Now Jules finds herself in need of a quick job to help make her rent payment, so she has agreed to take an assignment as a fake fiancée for ten days via Olivia Danvers’ dating service.

But hang on to your hat, or your fake engagement ring!!

Jules’ fake fiancée gig is to someone she had the hots for three years ago and has never quite forgotten after their one night hook up…..rich playboy, former formula 1 driver but now business owner and CEO, Caleb McAdams.  Cal is in the middle of a crisis…..trying to retain custody of his godchildren, Lottie and Ezra, the children of his dear friends who have suddenly died.   And he’s just as shocked to see Jules, the girl that got away, as she is to see him.  Over the past three years, Cal has never forgotten Jules, but right now he’s got to prove to the Court he’s not the playboy womanizing cad he’s been accused of; that’s he’s settling down and that “responsible” is now his middle name.  How best to prove that??  With a fiancée, of course!

Our reunited lovers have unbelievable tension fighting an attraction that has never gone away.  Emotionally charged banter filled with sexy undertones makes for lively conversations between our main characters.  And the sexual chemistry is definitely “swoon-worthy.”   We do have the typical angst at the end, but everything does get resolved so our characters get to their HEA ending.  A nice twist to a second chance story about the importance of family and honoring a commitment. 

Overall, I’m liking this Billionaire Bachelor series from Lila Monroe!!  At the end of the book we get a preview into the next book in this series which is intriguing because of who the next person is…..Olivia Danvers!  Can’t wait for it!!
