The Baby Maker

Four hot, lusty and baby making Stars!
****
Some things are uncertain,
some things are a sure thing. And for
the women of Sonoma County, its best they stay away from the men of the Hunter
family unless you are looking for more than a good roll in the hay, shall we
say? Because they are definitely the “sure thing”
to get you pregnant.
Emma Haverford is one
serious woman who hears her biological clock ticking rapidly. She’s dropped the rat race of the tech
industry to try her hand at working the land in wine country (in California). And she’s tired of waiting for that “perfect”
man who will make her heart go pitter-pat and give her the happy family she
wants complete with children. She
thought she had it, but then she didn’t, so she’s going to by-pass the “man part”
and go straight to the “family part” instead.
How? By propositioning one of
those Hunter men because they are known to have the ability to knock you
up. Must be in their DNA. The candidate she’s after? Dylan Hunter.
Well if you’re going to try to get a baby the old fashion way, let’s at
least pick someone who is easy on the eyes and looks so good in his jeans it
should be illegal. There’s just one
slight problem. They seem to be at odds
with one another over a piece of land that Emma has and Dylan wants. But wait!
Maybe that’s the way to get Dylan to cooperate. Offer him the land in exchange for helping
Emma with her baby making predicament.
Dylan Hunter has his eyes
to the future and preserving the Hunter legacy, or at least their land, and
right now that does not include a girlfriend, marriage or a family. But this Emma Haverford, this cute neighbor
of his, is twisting him up inside in strange ways and making him have wild and crazy
thoughts about her. What to do?
What to do? Well the fates are
shining down on Dylan, because he’s then presented with an offer from Emma that’s
just too hard to turn down, that doesn’t include responsibility or marriage…..just
great sex with no strings, and suddenly they don’t seem to be as such odds with
one another anymore!
The Baby Maker by Lili
Valente is a tantalizing read with some pretty heated and lusty sexual
chemistry between our two main characters.
Although not very complicated as far as stories go, I found the story
premise entertaining, and the banter between Emma and Dylan clever and
spicy. This book doesn’t make you think
a lot, but it does have a “feel good” approach and sometimes that’s what you
need. To feel good about the direction
of the characters and how their relationship shapes their lives and affects the
people around them.
Lili Valente has slept under the stars in Greece, eaten dinner at midnight with French men who couldn't be trusted to keep their mouths on their food, and walked alone through Munich's red light district after dark and lived to tell the tale.
These days you can find her writing in a tent beside the sea, drinking coconut water and thinking delightfully dirty thoughts.
