Review by Diane ♥ Perfect Match ♥ A 4.5 Star Winner from Lila Monroe!

 A Review by Diane

Perfect Match by Lila Monroe = Perfect Winner!

**** 1/2 Stars

Notorious playboy meets passionate, driven, smart woman in a funny and sassy love story.  Those 14 words sum up this wonderful read from Lila Monroe.

McKenna Delaney has spent a good part of her life developing a new and innovative way to approach dating and how to match people and now she’s ready to it launch it to the “world.com.”  One little glitch remains…….she needs financial help in getting her app to go live.  She’s been turned down several times by financial investors and her last ditch effort to gain this support rests in the hands of Jack Callahan, a notorious playboy, but very successful investor who has the billions behind him to help those he feels worthy of his time and money.   All he asks of McKenna to convince him her premise works, is to find him his “perfect match” or soulmate using her app in 60 days.  Whoa!!!  Not much time, but does that deter our heroine?  Nope!  McKenna is up to that challenge!

For me this is when the book really takes off.  These characters are downright lovable.  The banter between them is funny and magnetic.  It’s here that Ms. Monroe’s quick witted writing really shines.  McKenna is sassy and smart; Jack is devilishly charming.  The attraction between these two literally jumps of the page.  The sex is smoldering.  You want to jump into the book and say “Jack, take me instead!  I’m your soulmate!”  I’m not kidding!!!

However near the end when the “boy loses girl” part happens I didn’t quite “buy” what split them up.  It just doesn’t fit with the personality of these two characters.  Up until this point they were both confident and smart and suddenly they are filled with uncertainty and doubt? It just doesn’t mesh with who these characters are in the first part of the book to me.

Now with that said, this is a very small glitch in a wonderful story.  Ms. Monroe quickly brings them back together for their happily ever after ending and they are back to their quick and sharp banter.

The premise for this story is unique and different from your standard contemporary romance and is smartly and cleverly written.  Once I got into this story I just couldn’t put it down.  All in all it was a sweet and entertaining romance and one that readers will thoroughly enjoy! I guarantee it!

Combining her love of writing, sex and well-fitted suits, Lila Monroe wrote The Billionaire Bargain. Lila enjoys writing, as it gives her a flexible schedule to spend time with her kids and a wonderful excuse to avoid them. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband, who strips out of his well-fitted suits nightly.
