Hitched: Volume Three (Imperfect Love, #3) by Kendall Ryan

A Review by Wendy
3.5 It's The Thought That Counts Stars
* * *1/2
 I think it must be difficult to write cliff-hanging serials... for it is not just creating the situation which keeps us on the edge of ours seats...It is the ability to then take whatever has happened, all of the angst or anger and smoothly turn it around to a positive outcome. It may sound simple in theory but I think it is much more complicated in practice. Especially in romantic/comedy/drama genres.

The Hitched series started out with a bang- smart, sexy, witty guy and equally smart and sexy woman... she, a little more uptight then him. Both are the off-springs groomed to run the family's major company. Both have lost their mothers and now one of the partners is gone. With the remaining father's health in decline and the business not as profitable as it has been in the past....There is the reading of will with all sorts of clauses. It is explained to these heirs.... and the rom/com fun begins.

We are led on a journey of a forced marriage/a sort of reverse courtship/an actual coming together and then the last cliff-hanger which was a doozy.

This third and final installment covers the process of these two coming to terms with what happened, regaining trust between the both of them and figuring out what is the most important in their lives...work success, control or having a well rounded life which includes love.

The initial charm of Noah is still there...Olivia has a more difficult path... and in many ways -rightly so. However, somewhere along the line... I lost a lot of the fun I had from the other installments. I think the path Olivia took was understandable...just a bit drawn out for me.

The coming together in the end is everything we expected from the first two parts and we also experienced more of Noah's best friend, Sterling...His British accent and Manwhore ways will be front and center in the next project. Ms. Ryan has the wit and flair...and Sterling has the accent- should be another engaging read.
