Jagged (Colorado Mountain #5) - Kristen Ashley

**** 3 1/2 HAM & COOKIE Stars ****

ARC provided by Forever via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

Publication Date: November 5, 2013

Yes, I read this book back in September but per the publishers request, it was asked to wait closer to the release date before reviewing the book.

I just have to say when I saw an ARC for Kristen Ashley....I was all over that!  She is my hero and I just love 90% of her books!  I love her ALPHA asshole men and their vocabulary of 3 or less words!!

Why am I only giving this book 3 1/2 stars?  I just wasn't drawn in by this book plus I most annoyed by the nicknames "Ham" and "Cookie".  Yeah I know that is petty but it irked me while reading...I just kept picturing what I had in the frig while reading.

Maybe I expected too much from this book because of my love of the other books in this series because I know this book is getting mixed reviews.  So that being said, it is a toss up whether this is a book you will enjoy as a reader.  My advice is to give it a try - I didn't hate it and I didn't love it....I liked it.

I could waste my breath and type out a summary of the book, but it follows the same premise of Kristen's other books.  I'm not saying that is a bad thing because in no way shape or form is it.  I LOVE her storylines - ALPHA sets sights on girl....ALPHA dominates girl.....ALPHA has lots and lots of hot steamy sex with girl.....ALPHA normally pisses girl off.......ALPHA makes nice in his own way and they have their HEA.

Take the time and read this book - just because I didn't fall madly in love with it...doesn't mean you won't!

About this Author:

Kristen Ashley was born in Gary, Indiana, USA. She nearly killed her mother and herself making it into the world, seeing as she had the umbilical cord wrapped around her neck (already attempting to accessorise and she hadn't taken her first breath!).

Kristen grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana but has lived in Denver, Colorado and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multi-generational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland and existed amongst the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon and Whitesnake (and the wardrobes that matched).

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music, clothes and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.
