***3 1/2 Debatable Stars***
I'm so utterly confused and broken up about this book. It falls between a 3 and 3 1/2 rating...one minute I want to give it 3 1/2 and then I start remembering parts of the book and I switch to 3.
I have to be honest and explain that it was hard for me to get through the first 50-60% of book, and even the last part - I was still having problems with. It just wasn't dark enough to be believable
I have to say even though my heart wasn't totally into this....the book and it's subject matter won't leave my memory and I keep thinking about this story.
Tess and her boyfriend take a trip to Cancun during her last year of college. Tess has been questioning her sexual attraction to Brax and his "vanilla sex". She dreams of being dominated by him but every time she mentions it - Brax gets angry.
While in Cancun, Tess is kidnapped by slave traffickers and then sent to a man in France. Tess never breaks and fights her captor constantly which only turns him on more - he doesn't abuse her out of the bedroom which Tess doesn't understand. She starts to fall in love with him and he opens her eyes to see who she really is on the inside. Q is a tortured soul and fights his demons daily to not expose Tess to his sadistic tendencies.
I'm still confused on how I feel about this book!
