Wow!! What a twist in the old Pygmalion story....This book held my attention from the beginning to the end. I was rooting for Stephanie and Ethan constantly, hoping Ethan would get past his shallow thoughts and Stephanie would open up about the reason for the shell she wears. Stephanie and Ethan's banter back and forth had me laughing out loud! Wow...what a sassy attitude Stephanie had!
This story takes place during the summer of Stephanie and Ethan's third year of college. Stephanie takes a film class to catch up on her credits and Ethan takes it so he doesn't have to work at his father's company.
Stephanie is total "goth" girl including the earrings, black clothes, make-up and TOTAL ATTITUDE while Ethan is typical "ALL AMERICAN" rich guy. They are paired up in film class to write a screen-play. They decide to base their screen-play on "Pygmalion" since it seems that is the route their life is taking them together. Ethan needs a "fake" girlfriend to get his mother off his back of trying to reunite him with his "ex" and Stephanie needs a place to live during the summer.
The fists, tongues and sparks fly when the two of them are together.
This is a cute, charming and funny new-adult romance!
