If you are looking for a book full of suffering and healing, then this is the book for you!
This story grabbed me from the very beginning since it delve right into the painful life Avery was leading.
Avery came from a childhood full abuse from her father and sometimes mother. She was programmed to think she was worthless and would never make anything of herself.
Jace first sees her stripping at a "hole in the wall" bar and then rescues her from an over zealous fan.
Jace knows that Avery has been abused and makes it his crusade to save this girl from continuing to live a life in hell. Jace gives Avery a place to live, a decent job and joys of a childhood she never had.
We follow Avery growing from a life of self destruction to gaining her courage and self worth back. Even though Avery is happy, she didn't seem destined to continue this, instead she is met with painful reminders in dreams and visits from people of her past.
This is a beautiful, heart wrenching journey of two people destined to find love and happiness!
My hats off to Victoria Ashley and her first book!
